What is Adams?
Adams is an AI business expert built by BigMerchant. It works hand in hand with business owners — answering questions about sales, stock, customers, cash and staff from your own records, and helping you get things done in BigMerchant’s apps.
What do I need to use it?
A BigMerchant business account. Today Adams works with the records you keep in Shopkeeper POS, BigMerchant’s point-of-sale and bookkeeping app — sign in with the same account.
Who in my business can use Adams?
Owners, and team members whose role can see Reports. Staff sign in with their staff email (username@business-handle.app) and PIN.
Where do the numbers come from?
From your business records. Adams runs the same reports you’d open yourself, for the branch you’ve picked, and shows what it’s checking while it works.
Can Adams change anything in my business?
No. Adams advises; you decide. It can’t make a sale, change a price, adjust stock or edit your settings.
Does Adams replace my accountant?
No. Adams helps you understand your day-to-day numbers and spot what needs attention. For tax, audits and formal accounts, keep working with a qualified professional.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. Adams works in the browser on phones, tablets and computers — there’s nothing to install. It needs an internet connection.
What if an answer looks wrong?
Adams is an AI and can get things wrong. Check the figure in your reports, and let us know through the help centre.
